Environmental Compliance Assistance Tool EnviroCAT Introduction: EnviroCAT is a database/knowledge base software system
designed to assist in environment, safety and health (ES&H) regulatory compliance assessments of manufacturing processes. EnviroCAT is a Windows 32-bit application that runs under Windows and Windows NT.
Benefits:
EnviroCAT users need not have extensive knowledge of federal or state ES&H regulations because regulatory issues are linked to materials and processes. Get away from using subjective criteria when
making a "hazard" determination. EnviroCAT makes hazard determinations for the user based on regulatory criteria contained in the tool's knowledge base. Capabilities:
EnviroCAT has an interactive user/tool capability such that a question and answer session on materials and processes is custom tailored to the user. The tool tracks the user response and presents follow up
questions based on response. This capability prevents the user from having to look, respond or think about non-applicable materials and processes.
Materials and processes are mapped to ES&H regulations. The regulations database identifies materials' quantities and limits of compliance. EnviroCAT provides the user with an extensive listing of materials
and processes as selectable choices. Materials are identified per descriptive name or CAS number. This makes it possible to conduct ES&H assessments with only a knowledge base of materials and processes.
There is an extensive reporting capability of ES&H regulatory compliance:
- EnviroCAT Question & User Response Summary Report
- Facility's Regulated Materials Report
- Facility's Listing of Materials/Processes
- Facility OSHA Compliance Report
- ES&H Regulations Database Revision Report
Applications:
EnviroCAT is best suitable for:
- Surveying/Evaluating suppliers
- Run What-If assessments of alternative processes & processing materials
- Document a site's ES&H regulatory compliance status
- Assist in the interpretation of environmental regulations
